Leonie brings extensive experience working with diverse populations and has earned her credentials as a qualified counsellor through the University of Canberra and the University of Melbourne.
With nearly 30 years of experience in education—from primary to secondary levels—and a background as a Student Wellbeing Coordinator, Leonie is passionate about empowering individuals. She equips her clients with practical tools and mindfulness strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and depression effectively.
Leonie has a particular passion for guiding clients through significant life transitions. She takes a special interest in supporting young adults with chronic illnesses as they navigate the challenges of gaining independence, attending university, and entering the workforce. Her deep understanding of education enables her to relate to the unique concerns faced by students, parents, carers, teachers, and school staff.
Leonie values strong connections with family, friends, and the wider community. She also believes in the calming presence of pets, noting that both cats and dogs provide comfort and opportunities for mindfulness. Have you ever noticed how a pet can bring a sense of calm and tranquility?
Philosophy: "Life is what you make of it, but a helping hand can make the journey more enriching."
