Mr Adam Landau is a Urological Surgeon with special interests in robotic surgery, male voiding difficulty, kidney stones, and the radiological imaging of urological conditions.
Adam initially trained as a Physiotherapist, and worked at Carlton football club for the 2005 premiership season, and 2006 season.
After studying medicine, he spent several years training in diagnostic imaging, prior to commencing his surgical training. This interest led to the completion of a Diploma of Diagnostic Imaging (Ultrasound), and has led to Adam gain further experience in the use of MRI in the diagnosis and management of prostate cancer.
Adam spent the final year of his urological training at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center, specializing in robotic surgery for prostate and kidney cancer. During his training at Peter MacCallum, Adam also gained significant experience in performing transperineal biopsy, for the diagnosis of prostate cancer. There after Adam travelled to Sweden, where he completed an observership in robotic surgery for prostate and bladder cancer at the Karolinska Institute.
Many Urological conditions can be managed medically, such as benign prostatic enlargement and kidney stones. Should surgery be required, Adam has significant experience in treating these conditions endoscopically, with ‘no cut’ techniques.
Adam is a member of Australian Urology Associates, who consults in Malvern, Pakenham, the CBD and in Bairnsdale. Adam operates privately at Cabrini and Epworth Hospitals. He has a public Hospital appointment at Box Hill Hospital, Eastern Health.
