Marissa moved to Ocean Grove in 2019 seeking a more active lifestyle in the greater outdoors. With the ocean at her doorstep you’ll find her on the beach most days walking with her aussie terrier and swimming or surfing in the ocean. Because movement is a big part of Marissa’s life, she loves working with patients to reach their movement goals as part of her osteopathic practice. She achieves this by combining hands-on treatment and rehabilitation exercises tailored to your specific needs. She strongly believes that movement is medicine! Being a new mother herself, Marissa has a strong interest in working with women throughout their pregnancy & providing them with support post-partum. She has extra training in pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain and ultrasound therapy for mastitis. As someone who enjoys movement she likes to spend her spare time doing yoga, pilates and surfing. She has a special interest in injuries related to these activities, which are often neck and upper limb complaints. With extra training in pilates, she uses these skills as part of rehabilitation. Marissa grew up in Queensland and moved to Victoria in 2011, so it’s no wonder you’ll regularly find her at the beach, however, during winter you’ll find her on the slopes skiing at Mt Buller. Fun fact, Marissa loves skiing so much that she got married on the slopes of Niseko in Japan where she met her husband!
