Dr James Brown is an orthopaedic surgeon practicing in inner Brisbane. His specialities include sports knee surgery, hip and knee replacement, trauma surgery of the lower limb, and management of soft tissue injuries to the knee.
Dr Brown attained a Bachelor of Physiotherapy followed by a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Queensland. His orthopaedic training was undertaken in Queensland, predominantly in Brisbane hospitals.
Since completing his Orthopaedic Fellowship, Dr Brown has received further sub-specialty training in the UK, involving complex hip and knee arthroplasty at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, and Sports Knee Surgery at the Fortius Clinic in London.
Dr Brown is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
He enjoys the opportunity to educate the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. He also has a keen interest in research in his sub-specialty areas. Through both of these avenues he maintains the highest standards in patient care.
