Akaansha completed her Bachelor of Vision Science and Masters of Optometry at Deakin University in Melbourne. Her journey into the world of optometry began with her first pair of spectacles as a 13-year-old myope and then a subsequent interest in learning and wearing contact lenses later on. Regular visits to the optometrist led to the career interest and field she is in today. She has traveled and completed her placement and provided care in Broken Hill and the Northern Territory. Besides eyes, she loves a good morning run and comfort in the form of a perfectly made warm cup of coffee with a good book in hand.

Kelly has been practicing Optometry since 2000 and has a special interest in the diagnosis and management of eye disease. She loves Optometry because she loves to meet and take care of a new person every half hour. She is passionate about eye health and loves the challenge of a difficult eye diagnosis. She is also passionate about riding her horse Stanley, country living and playing the Ukelele.
