Stewart began working with Peter in 1997 and became a partner in December 2002 – he has since taken over the practice as a sole owner in 2015. Stewart is also a "local" having grown up in Glen Waverley. He played baseball with Waverley and is a passionate follower of the Carlton Football Club and sport in general. He has a keen interest in paediatric vision, which encompasses all aspects of vision development of children. Stewart has been a long time wearer of contact lenses and his personal experiences, along with extensive training make him an expert for your contact lens requirements.His first exposure to wearing contact lenses as a teenager drove his ambition to become an Optometrist.

Alyssa began working at Lewis&McConnell in 2024. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2018 with a Doctor of Optometry degree, and then completed further postgraduate study in Primary Care Ophthalmology at the University of Edinburgh. She has been an optometrist in regional Victoria, in both Gippsland and Echuca. Alyssa is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist and can diagnose, treat and manage eye conditions. When not working at Lewis&McConnell, she works as a Research Optometrist in the Anterior Eye, Clinical Trials, and Research Translation Unit at the University of Melbourne. Outside of optometry she enjoys Pilates, baking, reading, and trying to keep house plants alive.

Isaac began working at Lewis&McConnell in 2017 while still studying at university. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2018 with a Doctor of Optometry degree, and then completed further postgraduate study in Primary Care Ophthalmology at the University of Edinburgh. Most of his time as an optometrist has been in regional Victoria, in both Gippsland and Echuca. He returned to Melbourne in 2024 and rejoined the Lewis&McConnell team. Isaac is a therapeutically endorsed optometrist and can diagnose, treat and manage eye conditions. Isaac also works with Optometry Australia and is the State Lead for Victoria. Outside of optometry he is a volunteer firefighter, enjoys running, reading, and attempting DIY jobs around the home.

Peter has been in practice for 40 years, mostly here in Mount Waverley, working in partnership with his father and then with Stewart McConnell. Peter enjoys a regular game of golf and has a quiet interest in following the Melbourne Football Club. Peter has many clinical interests and enjoys helping his patients obtain their best visual outcome be it with spectacles, contact lenses or advice on eye health and maintenance of good vision. Since 2004 Peter has been a regular visitor to Timor as a volunteer, providing eyecare and helping establish the infrastructure that has allowed the training of East Timorese health workers to provide eye care to their local community - in June 2014 he was rewarded with an OAM for his services to Optometry, in particular for his work in Timor

Kusal grew up in the South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. After completing a Bachelor of Science, Kusal found his true passion in Optometry and completed his education at Melbourne Uni. With a keen interest in the co-management of patients with other health professionals. Outside of Optometry, Kusal is an eager cricketer and has a love for the great outdoors.
