Telehealth appointments are available for a range of health issues, but if you feel you need direct treatment for an injury or a physical examination you may need to book an in-person appointment.
I chose to be an optometrist as I have always been interested in health sciences and helping people. Optometry is a wonderful career in which we are enhancing and protecting our most precious sense - sight! Optometry demands a high degree of attention to detail and critical diagnostic ability, but fortunately very little out of hours emergency work. As an optometrist I enjoy being able to get to know people and understand their visual requirements, tailor solutions for their lifestyles as well as educate and explain ocular conditions. I feel privileged to be able to examine such an intriguing part of the body. Undoubtedly, the more you learn about the eye, the more you become amazed at its intricacy and complexity. In my spare time I play volleyball, sail, cross-country ski and enjoy drinking way too much coffee. I have been practicing optometry for 31 years, all with L&F Eyecare.
