Dr Devesh Kaushal offers 15+ years of gastrointestinal surgical experience at the highest level. He holds a Master of Surgery degree and is fully accredited by the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) in endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) to perform diagnostic care. Dr Kaushal did his surgical registrar training across NSW, QLD and the NT. He then embarked on additional, sub-specialised, upper-gi surgical training in the UK, working within a high-volume oesophageal and gastric surgical centre; training under internationally recognised luminary general surgeons within the UK health system. This provided Dr Kaushal with essential training in minimally invasive (laparoscopic) acid-reflux, hernia and weight loss procedures, such as the gastric sleeve. Dr Kaushal also performs a range of advanced endoscopic procedures such as balloon dilatation, stent insertion and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) to remove precancerous, early-stage cancer or other abnormal tissues (lesions) from the digestive tract.
