BarbeCURE
2020 has been a difficult year for all of us. Lockdowns and restrictions have meant we’ve stopped doing all sorts of things - shaking hands, sitting next to each other and going to meetings, but Cure Cancer hasn’t stopped raising money to support Australia’s brilliant young cancer researchers.
With the weather warming up, it’s time to grab your tongs and aprons – the tastiest cancer fundraising campaign, BarbeCURE, is back!
All you have to do is turn your next barbecue into a BarbeCURE and help Cure Cancer continue funding life-saving cancer research the Australian way.
Together, we can help them raise $250,000 to fund two more ground-breaking research projects and reach their $1million target.
Register a BarbeCURE this October to ensure that cancer research doesn’t stop.
The Buddy Box
For as little as $39, you can help support a child undergoing cancer treatment by sending them a Buddy Box . In your gift they will receive a care pack filled with fun, practical and empowering products to support them through their cancer journey.
Buddy Boxes contain items such as water bottles to stay hydrated during treatment and cosy bed socks for overnight hospital stays, as well as fun, interactive games and toys to help take their minds off gruelling therapy rounds.
Not only will your generosity brighten a young cancer patients’ day, all profits will be invested back into cancer research in the hope that future generations can live in a world where cancer no longer poses a threat.

ShareGift
Did you know you can donate shares and dividends? Smaller shares can sometimes be more hassle than they’re worth. Selling them can cost as much or more than their actual value, but by donating the shares you can put them to excellent use and simplify your portfolio.
Cure Cancer is partnering with ShareGift to make donating shares and dividends easy and tax efficient for you. Because ShareGift is a charity themselves, there are no brokerage fees.
If the value of the shares or dividends is $200 or more, you can nominate Cure Cancer to receive the value. Simply use the ShareGift donation form for shares or dividends and nominate Cure Cancer to receive your donation. You’ll also receive a receipt from ShareGift to use for tax purposes.
Donations you make to ShareGift are anonymous, but Cure Cancer would be delighted to know of your intentions so they can thank you personally. Get in touch by phoning 02 8072 6110 or emailing at info@curecancer.com.au
(Please note that all shares held in Australian publicly listed companies may be sold)
Make A Donation
In 2020, 145,483 cases of cancer are estimated to be diagnosed in Australia. That’s an increase of over 1,000 people diagnosed in 2019. Every one of those undergoing, or about to undergo, treatment for cancer will be acutely aware of the increased threat they face from COVID-19.
Their dependency on your generosity cannot be underestimated. Help change the outcome of cancer in Australia and please make a donation today to support life-saving cancer research.
